Maintaing Your Wellbeing During Transitions

I love the changing of seasons, especially this pivot towards autumn, because it marks a turning towards the slower time of year. This transition towards autumn is a great time to pause on new commitments and to assess what’s working (or not working) for you.

This is the time of year that Chinese Medicine instructs us to go to bed early and rise around dawn. It’s a great time of year to back up your bedtime so that you get enough sleep but also rise early enough to enjoy the early morning clarity and calm.

Summer is a busy time of year but autumn invites us to take a step back.

This is a great time of year to clean out your junk drawer, clear out a closet, or just generally let go and make space for what’s next.

In honor of autumn, and its invitation to pare down and to let go, I’m allowing this post to be brief.

This autumn, may you transition with great ease. May you assess what you value and let go of what you no longer need to be your best self.
