Dear Friends,
January is the beginning of the Gregorian calendar year, but January is also still very much in the heart of the winter season. If you didn’t make goals or resolutions 1/1, no worries! You have another chance at new beginnings when Lunar New Year rolls in on Wednesday January 29th.
2025 is the year of the wood snake, the snake being a symbol of wisdom and transformation, and wood being the element of growth and expansion.
The last few years, I’ve been working with intention-setting around the start of each new year. Having an intention or a quality I want to manifest helps guide my actions for the coming months.
This year my goal is to be more present in the transitions. The literal transitions, walking or commuting to work, as well as the time between tasks or the unstructured “down time” that I don’t have a plan for. I’ve also been careful to avoid the impulse to multi-task as those attempts to “save time” often leaves me feeling frazzled.
What intention or goals are you tending to in 2025? Drop me a line and let me know. I would love to hear from you!
If you want to learn more about the energetics of winter and are also hoping for a bit of rest before we begin the transition to spring, there’s still space in my Winter Rest and Restore Restorative Yoga workshop at Studio 34 on THIS FRIDAY 1/24 at 7pm in-person. More information can be seen here.
The value of real rest is immense. It can help you refine and realign with the priorities of your heart. Come experience how you can relax your way to wellbeing in this special event.
Have questions, want to connect? Are you ready to begin learning more about how acupuncture can help you recover your health? I’m here, and happy to answer any questions you might have. Reach out to schedule a free phone consultation. I would love to help you thrive.
