Regain Your Innate Wellbeing This Spring! PLUS, See You THIS FRIDAY!

Spring is a season of expansive and even explosive growth as seeds begin to crack and the most delicate seedlings, seemingly against all odds, push up and out of the frozen earth. With this new life and new cycle of seasons, a sense of hope and renewal returns.

The action of springtime in Chinese Medicine is “up and out.” From deep within the earth, plants and flowers sprout. And from deep within our own inner wisdom, we begin to emerge from our wintery slumber so that we can re-engage with the world.

Spring is also the season of wind in Chinese Medicine; we can literally feel blown away by this force of nature that scatters seeds and it creates a stronger stem in some plants, helping these plants to adapt and to endure to the environment around them.

Though the erratic growth of springtime might appear to be unstable, this season in Chinese Medicine is said to be one of structured and coordinated growth. Plants naturally grow towards the light, and each seed has a blueprint of what it will become.

We too carry our own blueprint of becoming. And like the seeds hardened off by the obstacles and winds around us, we have the opportunity to root more deeply so that we can grow more easily towards the light.

Connecting with the light is a process of inner discernment, and connecting with the channels of the springtime organs (the Liver and Gallbladder–more on that in my next newsletter) can help you to move forward with a clear mind and a conscious heart.

If you’ve been feeling down in the dumps, unsure of your vision, or unable to identify next steps, acupuncture can help you reclaim your nervous system and plug back into yourself so that you can identify how to move towards a life that you love.

It might sound cheesy, but it’s also amazingly true. I watch clients come back to life week after week. It’s amazing to be reborn again and again.

Recommitting to acupuncture as a practice of active rest can help you flourish as you find true freedom in becoming who you already are.

If you’re wondering how acupuncture can help you clear away the layers of anxiety, depression or confusion in your own heart, please reach out to schedule a free consultation

If you’re not quite sure about acupuncture, or if you’re wanting a beautiful supplement to acupuncture, my Spring-themed restorative yoga session is this Friday at 7pm at Studio 34.

During this workshop, we will talk more about how to harness the amazing energy of springtime, and you’ll be led through a series of super gentle yoga poses practiced close to the floor.

Come regain your ground this Friday as you connect with the raw potential of spring.

As always, if you have questions, please reach out.
